DOCPICKEDME

Docpickedme is ready to make his first start of the season and holds a choice of engagements in the early part of next week provided the ground is suitable. A winner over 2½m at Southwell when last seen back in March, we could look to defy a penalty in novice company at either Sedgefield or Worcester on Tuesday, with handicaps at Newton Abbot on Monday or Bangor on Wednesday the alternatives. A trip to Worcester or Bangor would mean a step up to 2m7f, but as a former point winner from a staying family, the extra distance could well bring about further improvement.

BREAKING WAVES

Breaking Waves has enjoyed a short break since winning at Southwell in June and could be back in action at Warwick next Thursday. He has been raised 4lb following that victory, but the Warwick race would only be a small rise in grade and he has shown an ability to be competitive from this sort of mark in the past.

Every year Wincanton Racecourse hosts a Charity Race Day. This year they have chosen Racing Welfare, a wonderful charity which provides professional guidance and practical help, from recruitment to retirement, to stud, stable and racecourse staff, and their families, throughout the UK. Without them racing would not happen. Our request to you on the organisers behalf is to help increase the amount raised for Racing Welfare. It has been difficult times as we all know, but if you are able to make a donation it would be richly deserved and hugely appreciated. Mila has just recently joined the team at Hill Barn stables and has proven herself to be an absolute machine in such a short period of time. She whips round the yard like a whirlwind and gets everything done before the riders return. Thank you for your hard work and dedication! Well done Mila!
