Facilities
Hill Barn Stables has expanded since Harry started his own business in 2007 and along with wife and business partner Alice, they are always looking to make improvements. Current facilities include: 2 Large Claydon Horse Walkers - The Walkers are key elements to the training of every horse from a warm up or cool down to building up a horses' fitness after a break or injury.1 1 Martin Collins Active-Track Round Gallop - In May 2013 a 2 ½ furlong round gallop was installed initially on a woodchip service, which was later changed to an all-weather Martin Collins surface. This is an integral part of the training regime at Hill Barn. 1 Deep Sand Gallop - A new addition since the original gallop. This fits around the inside of the all-weather gallop and is also an integral part of the routine at Hill Barn, acting as a great combination and perfect for preparing horses particularly at the beginning of the season as well as throughout in order to build up their core fitness A huge number of Turnout Paddocks - The property has variously sized paddocks and fields to cater for both everyday turnout and longer summer breaks. Alongside our own facilities we have access to all the Jockey Club Estate gallops, which boast various All-Weather and Grass Gallops to cater for all types of horse, along with an excellent schooling ground on the grass and as well as on an All-Weather surface.
